THE CAKE FACE STORY
One of my earliest memories is about cake! I was dreaming of
eating a pink cup cake but when I bit into it, it wasn’t there and I woke up. I
had this dream several times. Then one morning I ran downstairs and asked my
father if he would build me a shelf beside my bed to put cup cakes on. I can
still hear him laughing today!
When I was six my parents moved to the country and bought a tea room and whenever I was allowed a treat, I asked for cake.
I loved to set the table with mum’s old china tea set and sit down with 'Bill', one of the tour bus drivers and have tea and cake.
From these little afternoon teas, I was nicknamed 'cake face' by Bill.
Then, like now, I was fascinated by the taste, texture and ceremony that accompanies cake.
I trained as a chef and worked for 15 years before making my first fondant birthday cake for my son and have been pretty much hooked ever since!

CAKE FACE PHILOSOPHY
My philosophy for 'Cake Face' is to make captivating cakes using beautiful ingredients.
Each cake should be a surprise. The first surprise should be how it looks; the second should be how good it tastes!
Whether it’s a simple white cake with beautiful sugar roses or a 1920s Hollywood
themed cake, I design, bake and decorate each cake specifically for you.
I make my cakes from scratch in my registered kitchen. Ingredients used include: pure butter, free range eggs, fresh fruits and European chocolate, so my cakes taste as enticing as they look.
Please note that my cake pictures are here to show you what is possible, they are not intended as a catalogue. I like to design a unique cake for each client.
